Cinema 4D Script: Delete_Invisible_in_viewport

■ About "Delete_Invisible_in_viewport"

This script scans your scene and removes all objects whose "Visible in Editor" setting is Off in the Basic properties tab. These objects do not appear in the viewport, even though they remain in the Object Manager.

■ Main Features

● Deletes objects set to "Visible in Editor = Off"

Only objects with Basic Properties > Visibility > Editor set to Off will be deleted.

This helps clean up unnecessary objects that are not visually present in the scene but still exist structurally.

● Undo support

The deletion action is registered with Undo and can be undone in one step.

■ Installation

Go to Extensions > Scripts > User Scripts > Open Script Folder,

then copy the two files from the Delete_Invisible_in_viewport folder into that location.

■ How to Use

No selection is required in the Object Manager.

Run Delete_Invisible_in_viewport from Scripts > User Scripts.

Only objects with "Visible in Editor = Off" will be deleted.

■ How to Add to a Palette

Go to Window > Customization > Customize Commands

Type Delete_Invisible_in_viewport into the Name Filter in the Command Manager

Drag and drop the script into a palette of your choice

Close the Customize Commands window

Save the layout via Window > Customization > Save as Startup Layout

■ Notes

Only objects with Visibility: Editor = Off will be deleted.

Objects set to Visible in Render = Off are not affected.

All child objects in hierarchies will be checked recursively.

Undo supports only one step. Saving your scene beforehand is recommended.

■ Remarks

When modeling or managing assets, objects temporarily hidden in the viewport may be left behind unintentionally.
"Delete_Invisible_in_viewport" is an effective tool to remove such hidden objects all at once, helping to optimize and organize your scene efficiently.
